INTRODUCING THE ART CIRCLE AWARD!
The 2024 Art Circle Award honoree and runner up Juror Award honoree will be selected by well-known Bay Area gallery owner, curator, collector and author Claire Carlevaro. Claire is a wonderful and deeply respected Bay Area original, having been a collector for most of her life. Claire was the founder of the Art Exchange Gallery. For over 30 years she specialized in resale, representing individuals and institutions needing to sell artwork. In addition, she held exhibitions of women artists working from 1930-1970 despite the lack of recognition. Claire closed her gallery in 2011 and continues to work within the Bay Area art community as a patron and supporter of the arts.
START YOUR STUDIO VISITS AT STUDIO ONE ART CENTER
Studio One Art Center will be open June 1 and June 8th from 11am – 4pm for the East Bay Open Studios Salon Exhibition and starting point for other studios in the area. Studio One Art Center is Oakland’s only city-run program dedicated to visual arts instruction in a wide range of media for person’s of all ages. You’ll find it tucked between Oakland Technical High School and the Temescal Pool in North Oakland.
