ARTIST REGISTRATION FOR THE WINTER EVENT WILL OPEN AUGUST 7TH
Before You Register

- Registration for the December Event will open in August 7th, 2023.
- New Artist Registration
- New participating artists will register, create an online profile AND pay participation fees at one time on the EBOS website
- Each participating artist receives:
- An online profile page and digital map location on the East Bay Open Studios website
- Online profile searchable by name, media, and/or location
- Line-listing with studio address and location noted on a map in the printed event guide
- Access to free or low cost professional development courses and mixers
- Exclusive application access to calls for artists and paid opportunities
- Artists may purchase additional features, such as featured website listings and advertising in the printed event guide.
- Artists may show on either weekend or both weekends, but artists MUST be open both weekend days during Studio Hours, 11am – 5pm
- Do not register if you are not able to be open during the event hours.
- Returning Artists
- Returning EBOS artists will be able to update their online profile, add/remove images AND pay participation fees on the EBOS website
- Each participating artist receives:
- An online profile page and digital map location on the East Bay Open Studios website
- Online profile searchable by name, media, and/or location
- Line-listing with studio address and location noted on a map in the printed event guide
- Access to free or low cost professional development courses and mixers
- Exclusive application access to calls for artists and paid opportunities
- Artists may purchase additional features, such as featured website listings and advertising in the printed event guide.
- Artists may show on either weekend or both weekends, but artists MUST be open both weekend days during Studio Hours, 11am – 5pm
- Do not register if you are not able to be open during the event hours.
Fee Waivers
- Waivers will not be offered for the December event. Check back in early 2024 for information about the application process.
- Waivers will cover full or partial artist’s participation fee for EBOS 2024 and will offer the artist a small stipend for art materials
- OAM will distribute approximately X waivers to East Bay Artists
- Recipients being determined by members of the EBOS steering committee
- In seeking to make EBOS more inclusive, we will prioritize applicants who represent systematically excluded, marginalized, or underserved communities. This also includes artists from smaller cities that have less resources available for artists
- The application will close DATE and the EBOS steering committee will announce awards and space placements by DATE.
Space Requests
- Space Requests for December are open.
- Artists will be provided with a list of available venues. It is up to the artists to work with the designated contact at the venue regarding installation and removal timing.
- This opportunity for space is offered on a first-come-first-served basis.
- Artists are still expected to promote their open studio event independent of the venue.
- Artists must be registered to participate in the Winter Event to be able to take advantage of this opportunity.
Printed Materials
- Each artist will receive XX printed materials for your personal use, to share with your visitors or distribute within your community.
Please do not take printed materials if you do not intend to use them. Allow us to distribute them to other artists and business
Pick up your printed materials:
- Date from Time pm at Location.
- A limited number of printed materials will be available at the following Community Hubs and you may pick them up there. Check in at the reception desk or cashier and let them know you are an EBOS artist and you are picking up your printed materials. Check their websites for open hours before you go:
