TC Moore
December 2 & 3, 11am - 5pm
TC Moore is primarily a self taught painter and musician based in Oakland/SF since 2007. His artwork is an exploration of the human experience, focusing on the interplay between emotions, memories, and the visual world. Through vibrant colors, expressive brushstrokes, and layers of texture, he aims to evoke a sense of introspection and connection with the viewer.
Inspired by social justice, dreams, and personal introspection, TC creates both abstract and figurative works that invite contemplation and reflection. By combining elements of realism with abstract gestures, he strives to capture the essence of a moment, emotion, or thought.
His artistic process involves experimenting with various mediums, such as acrylics, spray paint, oils, and technique, allowing for a dynamic interplay between spontaneity and control.
TC's most recent works use hand drawn multi-layered stencils to reimagine redlining maps of San Francisco and Oakland. Redlining was a discriminatory practice that plagued the cities for decades and was used to segregate communities and perpetuate inequality. By studying these maps, we can uncover the deep-rooted biases that shaped the urban landscapes and affected the lives of countless individuals to this day.
