ARTIST REGISTRATION FOR THE WINTER 2024 EVENT (DEC 7, 8) WILL OPEN JULY 26 AND CLOSE SEPTEMBER 8TH AT 11:59PM
Before You Register

- Registration for the June Event will open February 1 and close March 1.
- EARLY BIRD Registration for the December Event will open July 26 and close on July 31 at 11:59pm. Regular registration opens August 1 and closes September 8th at 11:59pm.
- New Artist Registration
- New participating artists will register, create an online profile AND pay participation fees at one time on the EBOS website
- Each participating artist receives:
- An online profile page and digital map location on the East Bay Open Studios website
- Online profile searchable by name, media, and/or location
- Line-listing with studio address and location noted on a map in the printed event guide
- Access to free or low cost professional development courses and mixers
- Exclusive application access to calls for artists and paid opportunities
- Artists may purchase additional features, such as featured website listings and advertising in the printed event guide.
- For the June event, Artists may show on either weekend or both weekends and for the December event Artists must show on one weekend. Artists MUST be open both days during Studio Hours, 11am – 5pm
- Do not register if you are not able to be open during the event hours.
- Returning Artists
- Returning EBOS artists will be able to log into their existing profile and dashboard and create a new listing AND pay participation fees on the EBOS website
- Each participating artist receives:
- An online profile page and digital map location on the East Bay Open Studios website
- Online profile searchable by name, media, and/or location
- Line-listing with studio address and location noted on a map in the printed event guide
- Access to free or low cost professional development courses and mixers
- Exclusive application access to calls for artists and paid opportunities

Fee Waivers
- Waivers will cover full or partial artist’s participation fee for each event
- You must reapply for each event
- OAM will distribute approximately 12 waivers per event to East Bay Artists
- Recipients being determined by members of the Oakland Art Murmur board and EBOS steering committee
- In seeking to make EBOS more inclusive, we will prioritize applicants who represent systematically excluded, marginalized, or underserved communities. This also includes artists from smaller cities that have less resources available for artists
- Application Dates:
- January 1 – February 1, announcements by February 14
- July 15 – August 15 at 11:59 pm, announcements by on or before August 26th
Space Requests
- Request Form Dates:

- July 15 – August 15 at 11:59 pm, announcements on or before August 26th
- Artists will be provided with a list of available venues. It is up to the artists to work with the designated contact at the venue regarding installation and removal timing.
- This opportunity for space is offered on a first-come-first-served basis.
- Artists are still expected to promote their open studio event independent of the venue.
- Artists must be present at the exhibition space during open studios hours.
- Artists must be registered to participate in the open studios event to be able to take advantage of this opportunity.

An application and submission process as follows;
June Event
- Submission portal opens January 1 and closes February 1. Announcements by Febuary 15
December Event
- Submission portal opens July 15th and closes August 11, 2024 at 11:59pm the winner notified on or shortly after August 26, 2024
