My current painting feels like a return to what in the visual world resonates with my inner world. Always a landscape painter, where life drawing, urban environments and architecture are included, presently I am most inspired by the poetic landscapes of high desert. Dramatic rock formations and boundless vistas serve as both a muse and a canvas. Light, shadow and pushing the color: pushes me to focus on the majesty of landscape. I'm searching for the balance between boldness and subtlety: as these rocks embody silent strength, transformation and distinct personality.
