HANDMADE PASTEL DEMONSTRATION Sunday, May 14 at 2pm
I am a visual artist and designer working with people, places and ideas. My large-scale, temporary public projects are developed through research and studio practices that produce their own unique artifacts in drawings, photographs, writing, and small models. Together, site-work, graphics, and objects, express the complementary relationships of public and private life.
In artwork, I look for something I haven’t yet seen, but once appearing, feels as if it has always existed. Materials and how they are worked express traditions and moods; images associate to other images; and boundaries transform into bridges. Whether a large public installation, a private commission, or a simple sketch, each part of experience reflects a whole, a whole that is everywhere, with an artwork temporarily at its center.
