I am a figurative oil painter prioritizing the visibility of the African Diaspora in my work.  With oil paint I am looking to create a world that is rich, vibrant, bold and free for all of us to thrive in not just to survive. When working my intention is to transmute grief to beauty by creating a dialog with myself through painting. I have an interest in using color as a language for emotions in relationship with the body as its vehicle.My overall vision is to create art that empowers vulnerability, as I believe that this is the ultimate superpower.
