Ruth Gibbs

Ruthie Gibbs is a contemporary painter that lives and works out of Mill Valley, California. Working in acrylic medium, she creates vivid portraits and abstract work that excel in bold color configurations and energetic line. A native of the San Francisco Bay Area and graduate of California College of Arts, she uses her illustration knowledge to pursue large scale portraitures that focus on connection and interaction. Through the use of heavy and dynamic texture, she hopes her art can bring an interactive experience to her audience. Her commissioned pieces are meant to be touched, explored and give people a sense of excitement and creativity in their homes.
