Description
I studied studio art at the University of Maryland. My interest in making paper collage began while keeping a visual diary of my two-month life in France. Since then, I have been exploring traditional motifs in figurative and abstract collage made with decorative artisan papers.
My current work for Open Studios is titled “Explorations in Wabi-Sabi.”
My paper collages are 8x8 inches matted in 12x12 inch wood frames with tempered glass. The size, uniqueness and quality make them ideal for hanging on small walls, and suitable as gifts.
Proceeds will be donated to Children Rising, a nonprofit providing critical reading and math tutoring to young children who are in intellectual, social and economic poverty. Please join me in supporting both the arts and vulnerable children in the East Bay.
