Anna grew up in New York City, and lived on Sugar Hill. The Sugar Hill Neighborhood is a small enclave, north of Harlem.
Some of the Artists who have influenced her work are Ed Clark and Robert Rauschenberg, Richard Diebenkorn, Antoni Tapies.
Connecting to the music, the musicians, the energy and the people of Sugar Hill and beyond is a constant source of inspiration for her.
