Amy Burek

Amy Burek is a printmaker and book artist whose work explores how science and technology have shaped the way we interact with each other, express our emotions, and perceive ourselves. Her publishing project Awkward Ladies Club focuses on memoir, knowledge-sharing, and other non-fiction works. Her books have been collected by the Whitney Museum Library, the Paul D. Fleck Library and Archives at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, The Joan Flasch Artists’ Book Collection at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Robert B. Haas Family Arts Library at Yale University.

Amy is a co-founder of Chute Studio, a collaborative Risograph printing studio and bookbindery. Established in 2020, Chute Studio is now part of The Loom in Oakland, CA.
