Studio Talu

Talu is a ceramic artist who has made her home in the Bay Area for over twenty years. Her sculptures are each unique yet recognizable through their use of organic forms and texture. She embraces serendipity, working by instinct and drawing from her subconscious for inspiration. Her sculptures are built intuitively without premeditation or planning.
Her love of art is lifelong. Over the years, Talu learned and honed her craft through classes at local ceramics studios and the Mendocino Art Center. She delved deeper into her ceramics practice as a creative outlet during the pandemic. From 2015 until the pandemic closed the program in 2020, she volunteered as a public guide at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
