California sunshine and cactus plants. Chinese lanterns and confetti littered streets of San Francisco. I love the beauty of Northern California. I paint in plein air to capture the light, colors and movement surrounding me. There are always fun stories to tell behind a painting created outside. In my home studio I create still life scenes and will use photographs to alter colors and help with underpainting. Painting is my passion. My work brightens the home and provides peaceful scenes where the mind can wander and unwind.
I was born in Berkeley, CA in 1983. I studied art in Boston at the prestigious artist run college, The Art Institute of Boston (now Lesley University). I then moved to New York creating art and making music in the art punk band Lady Magma. I was surrounded by amazing art while working at the Museum of Modern Art New York (MoMA). I meet many famous artist including Chuck Close to Cindy Sherman. Later working for Issey Miyake, I was surrounded by the beautiful colors of Japanese design and fashion. In 2015 I moved my family back to the Bay Area to raise my kids in the sunshine state. I am a full time working artist here in the Bay.
