Pamela Fingado

Pam Fingado is a native Californian born in San Francisco and living in the East Bay. She is a mixed media artist who works primarily with paper. She uses a variety of different papers from her collection which include exotic papers, printed calendars, wrapping papers and, repurposed paper from her own art pieces. A printmaking background in monotypes and silk screen, led to paper making and eventually paper cutting including the development and study of paper cutting techniques in traditional folk craft and contemporary art. Examples of these can be seen in her collage series, Squares, Icons and Saints, Imaginary Travel, Blue, and Paper Mandalas. Pam has exhibited her work in many notable venues including the Edward Hopper Art Center in New York and the Biennale Contemporanea in Florence, Italy, and most recently, Art Fairs in New York, Miami, San Diego and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her work is held in private and corporate collections. Pam has a long and varied career as an art teacher, art gallery owner, art blogger, author, and creativity coach.
