Mokhtar Paki
Mokhtar lives in the Bay Area and works as a visual artist and an art teacher. Since 2001 he has thought at some of the Bay Area art institutions like California College of the Arts (Oakland, San Francisco) and Studio One Art Center (Oakland), and has been guest lecturer at UC Berkeley and Saint Mary’s College of California.
Mokhtar creates and shows his works at his studio Firehouse Art Collective regularly. His Daily Sketches, reflecting social, cultural and political environment has been posted uninterrupted at the social medias since November 9, 2016.
His illustrations had appeared in the local as well as European publications since 1980s.

Mokhtar also writes. His two novels “Icon of Mana” and “Scheherazade of Silence” as well as his essays and short stories have been published in Sweden and Iran since 1985.
His graphic novel “Demons and Dolls” is in publishing process in the United States.
