Linda Dittes
Open Studios Hours May 13/14 and May 20/21, 11am - 5pm
Born in Maryland/Washington, D.C. I grew up loving to draw - mostly horses. In my 20s I attended the Maryland Institute, College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland and earned a BFA in painting.
After college I got a job in a totally unrelated field and did not do much art for 45 years.
After retirement, I took up Life Drawing and Composition to re-energize my art mojo. After two years, I figured it worked. I was ready for painting again.
With such a great and endless subject matter that Northern California has to offer, I started to paint outdoors in plein air. I have had the privilege of studying with Kristen Olson Stone, Philippe Gandiol, and Elio Camacho for the past ten years.
Painting plein air offers endless landscape subjects and the challenge of composing that only nature can present.
