Leticia Javier

Leticia is an artist and educator from Los Angeles, CA. She's lived in the east bay for a decade while taking part in public art projects, and community arts workshops. Leticia creates small works pulled from a collection of drawings/illustrations from a few ongoing sketchbooks collected over the years. The sketchbooks contain contemplations of everyday life and current issues with a cross-over of personal experiences as a Mexidorian (Mexican and Salvadorean) Chicana with Zapotec roots. An ongoing art practice has allowed her to mentally digest, research, and share conversations regarding pressing topics that affect all of us in the present time.
