Kristen Jensen is a Bay Area native who has been painting professionally since 1999, and currently works from her studio at Studios Eleven in Oakland, California.
As life enters a phase when we can once again travel and spend time with far-flung family and friends, celebrate weddings and birthdays with loved ones, and generally move about the world with less anxiety, I am exploring the optimism that this new freedom brings in my artwork. My recent paintings use color and texture to capture moments exploring the reopened world, including adventures reconnecting with old friends and going back to revisit my East Bay roots.
