Kathrine Worel

Kathrine Worel is a Bay Area based artist and curator who currently lives and works in Oakland, CA.
She works with a variety of materials and methods including time, space, clay, paper and soil.
Inspired by literature, mythology, fairy tales, wild space, dreams, night terrors, and her many grandmothers. Her work is held in numerous private collections in the USA, EU and Asia, selected exhibitions include Spoke Art, Steven Wolf, Orange County Museum, Shoshana Wayne Gallery, SOMArts, and KALA.
Kathrine earned her MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute in New Genres, BA in Fine Art from San Francisco State and studied at Escuela de Cerámica de la Moncloa.
