Weekend 1 and Weekend 2 (May 13/14 and May 20/21), 11 am - 5 pm

At my core, I am a landscape and wildlife artist who values the natural world and reflects the light, attitude, and drama created in the seen world. But there is also a profound interest in both the surface level design, culture and and art (including music) created mid-century as well as the profound impact of artists, scientists, musicians, poets and writers from any time period.

I paint primarily in oils but also use acrylics, gouache and drawing media as the subject or mood dictates. Although subject matter may be carefully explored or thought out, I tend to apply paint marks expressively and spontaneously. I continue to evolve as an artist through random and planned exploration.

I am a San Leandro, California artist who grew up in Camden, South Carolina and resided in the Charleston, SC area as a young adult until moving west to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2008. The landscapes, waterways, people, and culture of the areas I have lived in permeate the painted works I create.

I have a BFA in Animation and Visual Development from the Academy of Arts University as well as a BA in Media Arts from the University of South Carolina. I have made a successful living as a graphic designer for over 20 years but am transitioning to creating a more personal and creative practice that reflects my personal interests.
