Statement: I make art to understand the relationship between the physical relative world and the absolute timeless world.
Bio: Dana Zed has been exhibiting art in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 40 years. She has been collected by the Oakland Museum, The de Young Museum, the Corning Museum of Glass in NY, the Takoma Museum in WA and the City of Berkeley. Dana has made illuminated sculpture for the dressing rooms of Sting and Pink Floyd and has created a permanent public project for the San Francisco Public Library with the SF Arts Commission. Dana’s her work is in numerous collections ranging from Harvard Law School on the east coast to Esalen Institute on the West. Dana has done numerous private commissions in California including two homes designed by Maybeck and one designed by Julia Morgan. Zed has taught at Pixar, CCA and SFAI. Among others. Dana maintains a studio in Oakland, CA
