Each handthrown and handpainted ceramic piece is my attempt to create a whole object of beauty for others to enjoy - in which my love of line, form and color meet. Working with clay is deeply satisfying and connects me to my grandfather, a potter. It is a counterpoint to my work as an architect which depends on others to be realized. I'm currently experimenting with new clays, always in bold patterns and shapes. I'm honored to say that my ceramic work is included in the Toki collection of the Oakland Art Museum.
